In this course you are going to discover more about the groundwork to achieve for your flight-day operations. As explained in previous courses, there are different steps to acquire research-grade drone images for agriculture. Steps that you need to do before going to the field and steps that you need to do in-field. We have summarized for you all you need to know about the GCPs, and everything that you have to check before take-off. Also, you will learn more about multispectral acquisition and why it's important to check images before leaving the field. The course is illustrated with do and don't pictures, videos, and more, based on a decade of in-field drone phenotyping experience at Hiphen.
In this course, you will learn about the best suited drone equipment and sensors for high-throughput plant phenotyping. Then you will discover which agronomic value we can extract from images captured with these devices. You will also get a sound understanding of the differences between RGB and multispectral imagery, along with the importance of complying with the appropriate data acquisition protocol in order to collect research-grade drone images. To finish this course, a small quiz will be waiting for you to quickly evaluate what you've just learned.
