HIPHEN HELPS DEVELOP NEXT GENERATION IMAGE ANALYTICS TALENT

As demand for Imaging Solutions grows, Hiphen continues to add new skill sets to its team.

Meet the latest addition to the team: Romain Delalande – R&D engineer

Romain is currently in his final year of study, and after a 5 month internship with Hiphen last year, He has returned for an apprenticeship at Hiphen for a year of specialization in information and communication technologies applied to agriculture and the environment (AgroTIC).

As part of the R&D team he is involved in wide range of image analytics projects. His responsibilities includedesigning new phenotyping systems, testing sensors, analysing data and ensuring project follow-up with the R&D team or directly with the client. His main mission at Hiphen is to create and design a smartphone-based phenotyping system to widen Hiphen’s PhenoStation® range.

“I’d say that my dual competence, both in agronomy and information and communication technologies (ICT) allows me to understand the scientific problem encountered by the client and design an appropriate technological solution”.

“The main reason why I decided to join the team is that Hiphen is an innovative company that helps scientists and groups around the world to have access to the most precise data to innovate on various topics & develop new products, and I wanted to be part of this very interesting yet challenging journey.

The team was very welcoming, and I really liked the working atmosphere. I also very much appreciate the trust that the team and my managers placed in me quickly.”

Welcome Romain, good to have you back!
